It's been getting warm here in the afternoons so I've added ice cream back onto my grocery list. Unfortunately, the nearest DQ is half an hour away and you have to walk through a mall to get to it. No drive-thru for me ... unless I want to hit McDonald's. Oh the burdens one must bear to live in paradise!

Get you one, Chris! Lzenn, I am definitely jealous of paradise. It was 50 here today so not as bad as last week. I actually walked out of the gym in a tank top. It's raining though...

As you can see you don’t need a low carb diet to lose weight, all you need is a calorie dificit

400-500 carbs a day. They are just calories. You just need to keep the calories under your daily burn to lose fat.

Yep. No food is off limits. Works so much better for me. Just track and keep under limit. No low carb for me! Maybe slower, but that's ok by me. To each his/her own. 🥂

Jamorgan, it's not slower. Well, maybe at first because low-carb dieters will shed a bunch of water weight at first, but that's not important so it doesn't really matter.

LC dieters get an initial boost, that's about it. I wouldn't call it a boost as far as body composition is concerned. More of a hindrance.

Funny thing, protein bars are the definition of IIFYM. They are considered ok because of the protein even though they are no different than a Snickers otherwise. Exactly how my overall diet is.

yum. I love my carbs in the form of berries and chocolate. Too bad Dairy Queen won't give up the trans fats.

? The sugar content of my bars is about 2.4g per 100 vs 47g per 100. Don't compare my bars to junk lmao. Snickers are 45% sugar by weight mate.

And keep wrongfully believing that the vitamins in fruit all of a sudden makes it's sugar different than the sugar in a protein bar. Hint hint, it doesn't.

Sugars ain't sugars mate. Their was an in-depth post that went up earlyier this month by someone backing that up.And even if they are I keep sugars as low as possible. I'll splurge very very rarely if I'm in a rural area and by a poo poo protein bar if I have to, quest,maxx's... Something along those lines but I can feel what 20g+ of sugar in a bar does to me and it ain't great
