When you put a picture, you can't write much. But I need to add that I was heading west and the sun was rising, so I could see my shadow on the pavement in front of me and this bird's shadow as it was divebombing my head. And this little guy, he lives under this shed and it seems like whether 7 a.m. or 7 p.m., he has his little head poked out and resting on that brick. Usually there are a couple more in the yard, eating- and maybe he is the look out.

He’s there to make sure you stay off his lawn 😂

Same bird attacked again, this time on my way back. It's a red winged blackbird, upon further investigation and I will wring it's tiny fucking neck without a second thought if I catch it.

You’re probably walking next to her nest. Moms can be crazy!

Great account of your walking adventures. 😀 That bird probably has a nest nearby. Stay safe out there with those aerial attacks!

I have either a groundhog or mole digging holes on my property. Sometimes my neighbor's cat sits for hours watching the hole. I don't have a lawn so I don't mind them and have told my pest control guy to just leave them alone. I bet superman and _bed_ca are right and you might be walking close to the bird's nest. I remember years ago a blue jay dive bombing my cat who wasn't doing anything. It did it over and over again and I figured kitty was too close to the nest.

There may have been a nest or possibly baby birds just out of the nest. The only birds I have dive bombing me are the hummers & that's cause I sometimes sit under the feeder.

I'm sure you are right- but I will still kill it. 😂

But then you’d have to adopt the baby birdies and chew worms and spit it in their mouths every morning

I'm glad I'm not the only one. we seem to have a local osprey now. not in my yard, thankfully, because they're huge, but I keep seeing this large bird that's not a normal size hawk, heron or egret.

Well that's one way to burn more calories...?!?💪💜😜
As for groundhog, we don't really get those here in the desert. To hot and dirt here is very hard. Just a bit of info...did you guys know there are no slugs or snails in Vegas? They would burn up on sidewalks ...also very few fleas. Not sure why they don't survive in heat but that's a good thing! But, we do have scorpions so that's scary!

Sorry you're being attacked, but I do love red-winged blackbirds, so I hope she stays out of your reach. I also love your groundhog, too cute!
