Get this shit!!?! I got on the scale yesterday morning it said 226😩😩😩🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I am a huge sweller, but dang. I didn’t log it because I knew it was water weight and let’s say I had a bunch of cottage cheese on Saturday. Followed by a bunch of belly troubles. Got on this morning and 218. I typically fluctuate 2-5 pounds especially with this heat wave but damn!! I’m going to check later to see if I’m back to my 216 or less, which is feasible. 10 pounds in a day pffft I also wasn’t logging it because my line just turned yellow 😂

Yeah I just plain overate. Concerned that I did it so soon since the last one. It all started with a "cookie fellowship" after church. I thought for sure I could handle it but it was picking and snacking all day. At least I still did legs for an hour. Good luck to you...and me. 😉

Princess, there is always something or someone trying to derail our efforts. I am so weak when it comes to sweets. Last week I got started on a binge just by having an ice cream cone. At least we have the sense to stop and get back on the program before it is too late. We all seem to have our mind set that " I might as well go ahead and eat, I've already spoiled the the diet today. I'll fast tomorrow"

I don't think it's others trying to derail me. I think I need to learn to eat in moderation. I'll just use each time as practice. I love love love sweets-especially donuts, cake, ice cream, actually I'll just say all of it or I'll be here all day writing. 😜 but for sure it's easier for me to have none at all the next day than to stop once I start. Slowly overcoming that.

I go through phases, DP. When it's hot, I can't have sweets around. Because they're so handy. And I don't want to cook. And they taste good. It's not so tempting for me in the winter. I can have a couple mini cupcakes with tea and feel spoiled. In the summer, just give me the entire package and I'll finish it all.

It takes a lot of time and willpower to overcome a sweet tooth! I can stop once I start usually because my depression tells me I’m ‘bad’ and I stop to avoid those emotions. Otherwise I’d binge constantly. You’re a very strong woman and we know you’ll get there! (Tell D and the kiddos to eat that junk so there’s not so much for you to eat 😉). I have my own stash. The kids have theirs. Hubby has his. We stay out of each other’s and it works well for me.

davidsprincess, I feel for you - I'm doing keto to reverse T2D. During weight loss, I found I had to go "cold turkey" and cut out all sweets, breads, ice cream, potatoes, rice, pasta, and allow myself no substitutes. Once the weight was off, I cautiously started introducing artificial sweeteners but still can't do starches (again, I'm T2D). If any of that stuff is in the house, I still can't stop once I start.

Kenna- No kidding! I refuse to have fat kids. They definitely eat a mix. Salmon and okra for dinner- followed by ice cream and they get exercise. I don't limit anything completely from them and they do well. I think it's abuse when I see people who are overweight and then have morbidly obese kids, too. So sad. But I don't freak out if they eat what some consider "junk". They know that they need to move more if they eat more and so far we are able to keep them at a healthy body weight without getting too obsessed about weight. gz9- It isn't that crazy for me usually. I have gotten better about enjoying things in moderation and its nice to have it and not binge. Never have had to deal with diabetes or high cholesterol or anything else weight related- which is shocking considering how big I have been. Very blessed in that respect. Good luck to you. Thanks, LZenn and peeper and JC- I am determined to do this for myself, my family, those who support me and as a big screw you to the ones who don't. 😜😂💗 Off to the gym. Have a good night!

I’m so thankful for turning my life around and finding my woe and have mostly incorporated it with my kids. It’s tuff because my oldest now 19, 20 in July was born 6 lbs 13.6 oz her pants fell off of her until the age of 4. She all of a sudden had a brown ring around her neck and on knees and elbows. She started sleep walking with huge glassy eyeballs and was becoming very forgetful. She started packing weight on in her belly and arms and chin. I knew something was wrong and immediately brought her to the doctor. After a 7 - 8 year battle my friend at urgent care, a PA did labs. She is totally insulin resistant. We have a heavy history on both sides of type I diabetes. As soon as the meds were started she stopped sleep walking and the weight started coming off.

Brody, are second was 7 lbs 12 oz. We were told from 3 day follow up after birth that he was going to be a big boy.. height and weight. He has been off the charts for both since. I told the doctor at his physical last year( not our usual dr) that he has the same brown ring around his neck. It was brushed off. He is officially seeing our regular family dr in August for his physical. I’m demanding blood work.

I know some kids' health issues are not the parent's fault. My husband worked with a woman who was morbidly obese and her son- God bless him- Absolutely gigantic with every health issue you could imagine because of it and she would act like his weight wasn't the issue. Anyhow- too much to type- but yeah- big difference in him and he was more what I was thinking than what you are describing. Hope I didn't offend you!! 😘

Roman is our last born9 lbs 5 oz a little over a week early. I failed my first and second glucose tests with him. Was never, however told I had gestational diabetes till I gave birth and asked why they kept heel pricking him for 3 days. He was 9.5 lbs 21 inches. He has been tiny since age 2. Still predicting a big height but he is so skinny. Sometimes the body has way more going on with DNA 🧬 than how the kids eat. Roman is our only one who will not eat our dinners for the past 5 years picky( autism) but is tiny and tall.

Not at all DP😘💕 my heart breaks for Brody but I’m going hard on his physical in August with his regular Doctor. So far Roman( my picky one) is the only one who made it past 4 years old skinny as a string bean. We all wish well for our babies 💯❤️ Sometimes, and you know this as a nurse, it’s just bad DNA. Not offended at all friend. I would have kept all 3 on one post but on the phone you cannot see what you’re typing after a bit😊😘
