Well, yesterday did not go as planned, but it's okay. Adjustments with a side of determination is what's called for. I can easily go the "get down on myself" route, but why? That doesn't achieve anything. We have a bbq to go to this afternoon, then heading out to stay with some dear friends in Santa Fe, followed by my birthday. Best thing I can do is stay on top of my eating and make good choices. Keeping in mind that it's about spending time with people and not the time to sample all the yumny food, will help me to nourish my body and not add stress to it. Taking care of myself, while at the same time being amongst people is actually a fairly new thing for me, but I am working on it. After all practice makes perfect. Here's to the many opportunities coming up to practice. ❤

Have a great time and spend more time chatting than eating ha ha. That’s my tip. I love to mingle and chat and laugh and it helps to escape the over indulging sometimes. Drink tons of water and enjoy yourself and enjoy some treats too of course. Life doesn’t revolve around food like we think it does sometimes. It’s only fuel like gasoline in a car. Needed, just don’t overflow the tank! 😉😘

When is your birthday? Yes, good practice, taking habits you've created out into social situations. I've been eating intuitively this week, and it works --- if I have mostly protein and vegetables / fruit first and only eat more carbs/fats if I'm truly hungry after that.

LC, my birthday is next week, the 14th. Nothing really planned, like storming the Bastille or anything like that.😉 It's also my mother's birthday, who passed away last year, so I keep it very low-key. ❤

Thank you breco, for the encouragement! I truly appreciate it. 😊 I'm pretty excited to visit with my friend. I haven't seen her in a few years, so this visit is special.
