Ive had a super bad attitude since my Dr appt. and I had a "come to jesus" moment with myself last night. Time to take things in my own hands I guess. I had called my Dr about some lab work. I was trying to ask about what the steps after the results came back would be because Ive been having some symptoms that are associated with Type 2 and my numbers have been on the edge of Pre/Metabolic Syndrome. The nurse sent me straight to a Dr, not my regular one, who thought I had a bladder infection or something but NOPE (couldve told them that but I figured that they knew something that I didnt - so dumb). So they tested my A1C and she said that if it was over 6.4 then the nurse should come and get her since she was going to see one of her other patients. If it was under 6.4 then she would contact me through the app. It was 6.3.

To me, thats super borderline (NOT TO MENTION THAT IVE BEEN HAVING SYMPTOMS) and we should be talking about preventative measures. I need a Dr to tell me that I need to do better. She was very flippant about it and said it wasnt high enough to worry about but get 30g Carbs at every meal but no more than 60g. Luckily I know how to track carbs but- no wonder its a crisis if no one cares before its full blown. Even my mom was like- oh those numbers arent bad. Is it that its so common that no one bats an eye anymore because everything Ive seen online is that this is right on the edge.

Anyway, Ive been super pissy and eating whatever I want since. I havent been tracking either. But, last night I went to the gym for the first time in 100 years. We got Culvers afterwards and I made better choices than I have been (Grilled chicken sandwich w/o butter on the bun and mashed potatoes). I packed my lunch for today, my first day actually in the office this week, and I feel like Im back on track. If they dont want to help me, then I need to make myself the priority so I can help myself.
